The Coachella Valley Grand Prix saw two of its participating doubles teams take home top honors. Mike Walters and Kim Scholz won the 5.0 Men’s doubles division while Michael Bailin and Prentiss Van Den Berg won the 5.0 Mixed doubles division. Rick Ryder and Judy Hardman were finalists in the 4.0 Mixed doubles division.

The 2008 Coachella Valley Grand Prix tennis tournament calendar can be viewed online at www.grandprixtennis.com. The CVGP will put on four tournaments this year. As in years past the top point leaders will be invited to play in the 2008 Grand Prix Masters in early January 2009.

The Coachella Valley Grand Prix is a series of tennis tournaments for 3.0 - 5.5 players in men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles.  Teams will accumulate points throughout the series in an effort to advance to the Grand Prix Masters and compete against the top point leaders from the Orange County, South Bay, Los Angeles and San Diego Grand Prix sections.
